CDA Renewal Amnesty in 2020: Start Preparing Now!
Is your Child Development Associate (CDA) credential expired? From Jan. 1 through March 31, 2020, the Council for Professional Recognition will offer a limited-time CDA Renewal Amnesty Program. This program will give anyone with a CDA credential expiration date as far back as Jan. 1, 2010, an opportunity to complete the renewal process and make their credential active again. Apply Now for 2020 Developing Early Childhood Leaders (DECL) Seminar!
If you are a child care administrator who has mastered the day-to-day management of your program but want to further develop your leadership skills, then the Developing Early Childhood Leaders (DECL) seminar is for you! The June Sciarra Early Childhood Leadership Award is presented annually to one child care program administrator for outstanding service on behalf of young children and families.
The Early Childhood Educator Award recognizes an educator who impacts children on a daily basis. This includes those who work directly with children in the following settings: family child care programs, preschool programs (public or private), child care centers, school-age programs, or Head Start. National Report Examines Economic Impact, Growth of Child Care Industry
The U.S. child care industry has an economic impact of $99 billion with nearly 60 percent of children under age 5 regularly attending some form of child care. This is according to the Committee for Economic Development’s 2019 Child Care In State Economies report.
The 2019 update examines the child care industry’s effect on parents’ participation in the labor force, and provides extensive details regarding the industry’s impact on regional economic growth and development, including: usage rates, the role of public funding, revenues, and business structure. 4C Conference Registration Is Open!
The Annual 4C for Children Leadership and Early Childhood Conference will take place on Friday, Oct. 25 and Saturday Oct. 26 at the Sharonville Convention Center. Last year, 698 early childhood professionals from Southwest Ohio, the Miami Valley and Northern Kentucky attended the conference.
