A New Tool to Help Achieve SUTQ Goals

          February 25, 2019

Family child care providers have another tool at their disposal to help them earn a Step Up To Quality rating!

The One-Star Tool for Family Child Care (www.4cforchildren.org/getmystar) is now live on the 4C for Children website. It offers the opportunity for unrated child care professionals to independently navigate the steps needed to apply for a one-star Step Up To Quality rating.

This is another support family child care providers can tap into as they work to meet Ohio’s mandate requiring all child care providers accepting vouchers to provide child care to low-income families be SUTQ rated by June 30, 2020 or lose funding.

Each step in the online tool has been developed by our early child care coaches. It’s a user-friendly resource that will help increase the quantity and quality of child care so that working families, no matter their income levels, and their children have access to the very best child care possible.
