4C for Children will share interviews with this year’s Champions for Children over the coming weeks. This is an opportunity to get to know the outstanding individuals who will be celebrated during the 4C Champions Gala at Music Hall on November 4.
“I was in unbelief…” Kimberlyn said. “For [Andrew Brzezinski] to see my efforts and to see what I’m trying to do for children and families, I wanted to cry. I’m so thankful.”
Kimberlyn Fadare is the owner and director of a newly opened, 3-star rated family child care program who will be recognized this year.
Kimberlyn began her career in education as a teacher’s assistant in a kindergarten classroom where she saw children who were struggling and needed extra help. This motivated her to pursue a bachelor’s degree in classroom intervention and eventually a master’s in Montessori education. She taught in Dayton Public Schools for more than 30 years and continues to serve as a mentor. She retired from DPS in 2015 but returned to teaching at Steam Academy and St. Benedict the Moor Catholic School where she taught science and social studies.
Kimberlyn’s first love of primary education motivated her to open a child care program. The now three-star Step Up To Quality rated Uniquely Diz-ains Family Daycare opened its doors in 2020. The child care program and its services are guided by her motto: Each child is uniquely designed by God. Kimberlyn resides in Dayton.
