Kick Start School Conversations

School is back in session and your child is spending a lot of time away from home, so it’s only natural that you want to know how their day went. When asked the simple question, “How was your day?” most children respond, “good” or “fine.” As was a parent or caregiver, that short response doesn’t give you much insight and may make it more challenging to get more information out of them.
Try one of these questions to create meaningful conversations with your child and learn more about their day.

Summer vacation for children means being more carefree. Days are often less structured, and they enjoy having a break from the daily grind of school and homework. At the same time, families are still busy and there are schedules to keep.
Funding from the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) supports the recovery and stabilization of child care providers across the nation. In Ohio, this money is now available to child care programs in the form of Stabilization Grants. Since these funds are being distributed through grants that means the money does not need to be paid back if it is used according to the guidelines.
