          Unemployment Eligibility Expanded
Ohio’s unemployment system is now allowing persons who would not traditionally qualify for benefits to begin getting this help. The change applies to self-employed individuals, including business owners and some family care providers, AND individuals making under the necessary minimum.

Payments likely will not begin until mid-May. To learn more visit the ODJFS Unemployment website and click on the “Get Started Now” button.

          Free Children’s Books
Here’s some great information to share with your families. Let them know that Ohio children from age 0 to 5 are eligible to receive a free book every month through the Imagination Library. Currently families living in our service area in the following counties can enroll: Butler, Champaign, Clark, Clinton, Darke, Fayette, Greene, Hamilton, Logan, Miami, Montgomery, Preble, Shelby, and Warren. Clermont County is coming soon!

          Child Care Programs Remain Closed
Gov. DeWine has outlined the steps being taken to prepare to re-open Ohio businesses beginning on May 1. Ohio’s child care programs, except those operating under pandemic licenses, will remain closed. Click here for more details.
