The June 30 deadline is looming for all early childhood professionals to complete 10 hours of required professional development training. Having a completed Professional Development Certificate or completing 10 hours of training need to have been reached between July 1, 2024 and June 30, 2025.
Anyone who works at a SUTQ-rated program and previously achieved a Professional Development certificate between July 1, 2023 and June 30, 2024, does not need to obtain an additional 10 hours of professional development but they do still need six hours of training to meet licensing requirements.

Starting July 7, the new Step Up To Quality (SUTQ) standards will go into effect. All currently rated programs will have until July 1, 2025, to begin implementing the new SUTQ standards.
