Thank you to those who helped support pandemic child care programs in the Miami Valley and Southwest Ohio over the past few months by donating critically needed supplies. The following donations helped early childhood programs care for and support the health and safety of the children of essential services workers.
- Volunteers sewed 624 cloth masks for pandemic child care programs. Thank you to: Veronica Ash, Sarah Jenson, Jillian Gregoire, Christy Stockton, Jessica Rose Hunt, Alice Ethridge and family, and Kristina Langer and family.
- United Way of Greater Cincinnati facilitated a donation of 200 large bottles of hand sanitizer and 10,000 disposable masks from Procter & Gamble and Brain Brew Whiskey for these programs as well. We extend our gratitude also to staff and volunteers from Youthland, CareSource, Cincinnati Preschool Promise, Success by 6, and 4C for Children for helping to safely deliver these supplies.
Together with community partners like these, we continue to work to ensure that child care providers have what they need to reopen successfully. A strong early childhood education system means that the youngest minds in our community have the resources and tools they need to thrive and families have the peace of mind knowing children are getting the best possible care. We continue to be in this together!
