Water Play at Your Child Care Program

          July 10, 2023

Inflate the pools, get the water toys, and take the sensory tables outdoors! Water play is a great idea for a hot summer day. Playing in water not only fosters sensory development but can also help children develop lifelong math skills.

Here are some ideas for water play to incorporate on the next hot summer day.

          • Practice math and measuring with these water activities.
          • Learn about sensory development with these 7 fun water activities.

Remember to always use caution when children are around water. Never leave a child unattended and always follow all ODJFS licensing rules and regulations regarding swimming and water safety. Read the full ODJFS rules and regulations here.

Your families can help children continue to learn through play with 4C for Children’s free play calendars for infants, toddlers and preschoolers.
