Ohio Child Care Programs to Close
As anticipated, Governor Mike DeWine announced this afternoon that all Ohio child care programs will close beginning Thursday, March 26 through at least Thursday, April 30. This emergency action is among many that have been enacted statewide to help reduce the spread of COVID-19. An official order on this has not yet been released so the full details of this plan will be shared in the coming days. There has been news today from the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services (ODJFS) regarding plans around child care and child care programs and the state’s continued response to limiting the spread of COVID-19. This is what we know now but this is a very fluid process that continues to change.

Governor Andy Beshear announced yesterday afternoon that by the end of the business day on Friday, Kentucky child care centers must temporarily close to help manage the spread of COVID-19. While children remain at low risk, they can carry the virus and impact other segments of the population.
