There’s less than six months to go to complete the professional development hours you need to meet the training deadline set by the State of Ohio.
Every two years, known as a biennium, child care professionals (administrators, lead teachers, assistant teachers, family child care) employed at Step Up To Quality (SUTQ) star-rated programs are required to complete 20 hours of Ohio Approved training. The current biennium began on July 1, 2019 and will end on June 30, 2021. Please note: The number of required training hours has not changed due to the pandemic.
For more information about training requirements, providers can view the PD Requirement chart found here http://earlychildhoodohio.org/sutq/pdf/ProviderTALetter-19.pdf or visit http://www.earlychildhoodohio.org/ to learn more. For additional questions contact your ODJFS licensing specialist.
You can view your Professional Development Certificate on the Ohio Professional Registry to check the status of your completed training hours. To find the certificate, go to your registry profile and then click on “Reports” and then select “Professional Development Certificate”.
Now is the time to schedule and take those final hours!
