          Providers: Biennium Deadline is Approaching

          May 2, 2023

The current professional development (PD) biennium comes to an end on June 30, 2023.

This means all administrators, lead teachers, assistant teachers and family child care providers working in Step Up To Quality star-rated programs must have completed 20 hours of Ohio Approved training.

If the training requirements are not met, child care programs could potentially lose PFCC payments, the PFCC families being served and SUTQ star ratings.

Child care programs should make a plan to ensure staff have completed all required training by June 30. 4C for Children has gathered some steps to help get started.

View a report of staff’s hours. Directions here.

          • For assistance identifying the staff and training requirements that have not been met, email registrar@4cforchildren.org.
          • See the Ohio Approved 4C for Children training options. If these do not meet the needs of staff, a private, virtual on-site training for individual programs can be requested by filling out this form. The cost of the private trainings vary by hours and participants.
          • In addition to 4C for Children training, there are multiple free online trainings available on the Ohio Professional Registry. Search here.

For further assistance in meeting training needs, please email registrar@4cforchildren.org.
