Do you know an early childhood educator or program administrator who is making a difference in the lives of young children and families? If so, nominate them for one of two honors 4C for Children will award at the annual Leadership and Early Childhood Conference on Oct. 21-22, 2022, at the Sharonville Convention Center. The deadline for submitting nominations is Sept. 30.
The June Sciarra Early Childhood Leadership Award
This award is presented annually to one child care program administrator for outstanding service on behalf of young children and families. June Sciarra was a longtime leader in early childhood education and coauthor of Leaders and Supervisors in Child Care Programs. She was recognized countless times for her contributions to the field and was the very first recipient of the Early Childhood Teacher Educator Award from the Ohio Association for the Education of Young Children.
This award honors early childhood education leaders who exemplify the principles June championed throughout her career:

The Early Childhood Educator Award
This award recognizes an educator who impacts children on a daily basis. This includes those who work directly with children in the following settings: family child care programs, preschool programs (public or private), child care centers, school-age programs, or Head Start.
Educators are recognized based on the following criteria:
- Relationship building with children, families and peers
- Supporting the vision of the early childhood education profession
- Innovation and creativity in the classroom
- Professional growth and development
