Governor DeWine Announces Return to Pre-Pandemic Ratios and Class Sizes

July 28, 2020

Gov. Mike DeWine announced on Tuesday, July 28 that beginning on Aug. 9, child care programs can return “to their normal, statutory ratios and class sizes.”

According to the governor, “child care providers have a choice to get a subsidy and maintain their current lower ratios. Or they can go back to the normal statutory ratio.”

He added that he will continue to monitor data and make adjustments as needed. He ended by thanking child care providers for their hard work and sacrifice during the pandemic. And we echo his words wholeheartedly!
