            Update for Ohio Providers: SUTQ Deadline Extended, Interactive Map Available and more

            Here’s a quick snapshot of the latest resources and information we have today.

            SUTQ Deadline Extended 
            Gov. DeWine signed House Bill 197 on Friday, March 27, which includes language that officially delays the deadline for child care programs with Publicly Funded Child Care agreements to become Step Up To Quality rated from July 1, 2020 to September 1, 2020.

            Pandemic Child Care Licensees

            Expect a Call from 4C for Children
            Our staff is working to help connect healthcare, safety and essential services families to your Pandemic Child Care Program and to offer you the support you need during this health emergency. Click here to find a list of occupations defined by the state as essential.

            In order to have the most current information about your program to pass along to families searching for care, today and tomorrow we will be calling all the programs that have been approved as Pandemic Child Care Programs in Southwest Ohio and the Miami Valley. These calls will have a two-fold purpose:

            • To get details about your program such as hours you provide care, currently enrollment, vacancies, contact information, etc. so we can more easily connect families to you.
            • To check in with you as your programs are getting set up in this new system and find how we can help you and connect you with  the resources you need to handle the day-to-day challenges.

            Mapping Your Programs
            An interactive map showing the location of of Pandemic Child Care Programs in Southwest Ohio and the Miami Valley is now on the 4C for Children website. The map shows counties and is broken down by ZIP code. When a specific location is hovered over, a box pops up that gives a detailed overview of the program serving that area. Check it out and share it with families in need of care.

            Removal from the Pandemic Child Care List
            If you have been approved as a Pandemic Child Care Program and you wish to not provide pandemic care, email a request to ODJFS.
