NKY Child Care Center Chats Each Week
Each week, a virtual chat webinar for Northern Kentucky child care providers is held from 1-2 p.m. Hosted by United Way of Greater Cincinnati Success by 6 and 4C for Children, this is an opportunity for you to ask questions and get answers in real time. You can find a link to the coming week’s webinar on the MyPre-K Facebook page.

CCAP Update
If your center is closed because of the coronavirus, you will receive CCAP funding for each eligible child enrolled in your program, regardless of attendance.

If you are running a Limited Duration Childcare (LDC) program, the Division of Child Care will now be able to pay CCAP payments for children in your program. The CCAP staff members are reaching out to each LDC program to clarify which children are utilizing CCAP during the child care shutdown. All LDCs need to collaborate with the CCAP team in order to expedite payment. Any LDC providers that have questions regarding the payment process can email the CCAP email address at CCAPProviderPayments@ky.gov.

Unemployment Information
Child care providers who work at non-profit, faith-based or family child care programs and are currently unemployed due to the closure mandated by the state can are now eligible to file for unemployment. Those who are eligible can call 502-875-0442 or visiting the Kentucky Career’s Center unemployment benefits page.

The Kentucky Department for Community Based Services Family Support Call Center has extended hours if you need to apply for or update your benefits. The center is now open Saturdays from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. and weekdays 8 a.m.-5 p.m. EDT. You can also call the center at 855-306-8959 for additional information or help.
