Supporting Families, Recruiting Child Care Providers

March 20, 2023

Finding an open child care seat is a struggle for local families. And finding qualified staff for child care programs in order to expand capacity is a struggle for local child care providers. When combined, these struggles have created a child care crisis in this region. 4C for Children in taking action by launching the unique Child Care Careers Program.

Recently, Local 12 News highlighted 4C for Children’s new program to rebuild the workforce in the community. In doing so, families and parents like first-time mother Roxana Holland will find it easier to find child care for children.

A few months back, Roxana heard that 4C for Children could help her find child care in Cincinnati. The Family and Community Services team took the call from Roxana and reached out to numerous child care programs to find an open seat for her 4-year-old daughter. Roxana breathed a sigh of relief when the team connected her with a quality early education program with a vacancy.

More child care providers gives more children the opportunity for quality care and education – that’s why 4C for Children has developed the Child Care Careers Program.

This unique Program offers individuals interested in entering the child care workforce paid training, resources and support along their new career path. Currently there are more than 60 participants pursuing new careers.
