The warmer, longer days of summer are here. That means a more relaxed pace—and no school! Now is the perfect time to start planning how your family can make the best of the fast-moving days.
An easy and fun way to get the entire family involved in your summer fun is to create a Bucket List together. Creating a written list of your plans will help you to be more mindful and intentional about how you spend your time.
It will also help motivate you to follow through with doing the things you and your family enjoy most. Believe it or not, written plans are a great energy booster because they help keep you happy and give you something to look forward to.
Here are some fun ways create your Bucket List:
- Research local events. There are lots of fun and free events like concerts and festivals right in your backyard.
- Add a few indoor activities. Summer days can bring rain and storms. Don’t let those wet and dreary days dampen your fun.
- Look for new activities that your family have never tried before. Perhaps go canoeing, fishing, bowling, or go on a hike.
- Compile a summer playlist. Have the entire family pick a few songs to add to the list and play songs while you are in the car, cleaning the house or just having a dance party.
- Fly a kite!
- Have a picnic at the park or in your backyard.
- Set a summer reading goal and visit the library often.
Creating a summer bucket list can help ensure that your family has a fun-filled summer that will be packed many memories!
