Provide Respite Care for Military Families
If you are passionate about helping children thrive and want your work to have a direct impact on local Navy and Air Force families, becoming an Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP) respite care provider could be the right opportunity for you.
And it will give you the opportunity to earn supplemental income while enjoying flexible hours!
In this role, you will help families who have children with Level 3 or Level 4 special needs take a break from their daily care-giving duties by providing high-quality care in the family home. Families enrolled in EFMP may qualify for at least 20 hours of respite care per month for dependent children.
The respite care portion of EFMP is being administered locally by 4C for Children in collaboration with Child Care Aware of America.
How It Works
As a child care professional, you already have skills that matter. Your patience, experience and ability to create a safe, nurturing environment can make a lasting difference for military families. You will also be required to:
- Pass background screenings
- Complete required medicalĀ and other in-service training
Once required training is completed, we will refer specially trained providers based on the specific needs of individual families.
