Domestic Violence and Child Abuse
For victims and survivors of domestic violence and child abuse, sheltering in place may not be a safe option, especially due to the unprecedented stress the pandemic has caused.
Many of the resources families rely on—extended family, child care and schools, religious groups and other community organizations—are no longer available in many cases, which increases stress levels. In addition, the stress of the pandemic can also breed unsafe environments in homes where violence may not have been an issue before.
If you are aware of someone in our community in need of help, please pass along these resources.
