Please read the following updates for licensed child care programs in Ohio.
From the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services (ODJFS): Ohio Administrative Code rules have been updated for the following program types:
- Child care centers, Chapter 5101:2-12
- Family child care, Chapter 5101:2-13
- In-home aides, Chapter 5101:2-14
- Day camps, Chapter 5101:2-18
These rules went into effect Oct. 29, 2021, and are available in the eManual. Forms that are changing will also be available on Forms Central on Oct. 29, 2021.
Please note: Due to federal requirements, one change requires all staff to have training in First Aid and CPR appropriate for the developmental levels and ages of children in care. Details on the implementation of assessing for this requirement is outlined in each Manual Transmittal Letter at the beginning of each document posted on the web page and in the following rules:
- Rule 5101:2-12-10 for centers
