Learn About Becoming a Foster Caregiver at a Virtual Conference

          October 1, 2025

A family with two adults and a child hold hands and walk along the beach at sunset. Text promotes virtual foster caregiver information sessions with dates and contact email for registration.Thousands of children are in need of nurturing and supportive homes. More than 16,000 kids were in foster care in Ohio in the 2023-2024 school year, but only about 7,300 families are licensed in the state.

If you are thinking of beginning your journey as a foster caregiver, 4C for Children, partnering with the Western Ohio Regional Training Center and Ohio Department of Children and Youth and YWCA of Northwest Ohio, will present information sessions at a virtual conference Oct. 16-17.

These presentations will explore the different paths available to foster caregivers, share stories from those who have walked the journey and provide honest perspectives from youth and caregivers.
