The Ohio Department of Job and Family Services (ODJFS) just released the guidelines and application process this afternoon for the $60 million state CARES Act dollars devoted to child care.
There are two separate grants available.
COVID-19 Payment – Centers, Type A, Type B, Daycamps and In-Home Aides
These grants are intended to provide assistance in covering the cost of COVID-19 classroom dividers, cleaning supplies, personal protective equipment (PPE), temporary sinks, thermometers, and other expenses.
Ratio Support Payment – Centers only
This payment is intended to support Child Care Centers as a result of reduced ratios.
