Here is the latest information for Ohio child care providers, from May 29, 2020.
Dear Child Care Heroes,
The re-opening of child care programs in Ohio on May 31 marks the beginning of another phase of the pandemic journey that began three months ago.
During that time those of you who operated Pandemic Child Care Programs helped ensure children of essential worker families had safe, healthy care during an exceptionally difficult time. Thank you for being on the front lines and answering this critical need!
We know that for all of you the past 12 weeks have been filled with struggle, making tough decisions, adapting programs and staff to prepare for a new way of caring for children and families and caring for yourself and your staff.
As June begins and this new phase is implemented, it’s a new day in child care!
We remain committed to continuing this journey with you by getting you the most recent information and connecting you with resources to help you succeed in giving the best care and early education to our youngest minds.
Just as we said in our early communications to you in March, we are truly in this together–and we couldn’t be more honored to walk with you!

Question: When will guidance and more details be available regarding the grants the state announced yesterday, such as what can be purchased and record keeping requirements?
Answer: We know guidelines and a FAQ document are currently being created and both are anticipated to be available on Monday. Look for more information in Monday’s newsletter.
Question: When will I be able to start back on the 4C for Children Child Nutrition Program (CNP)?
Answer: Your program can begin to claim meals for reimbursement as soon as you are open and are serving meals to children. For more information, contact CNP at 513-758-1337.
