With the reopening of child care programs throughout our community in June, a new phase in child care began. We are grateful for our community’s investment in local child care providers during this time.
Thanks to the generosity of the community during the Child Care Restart Campaign, 4C for Children has been able to provide to date:
- 485 financial assistance grants to providers serving approximately 4,900 children from low-income families
- 32 free trainings, focused on new state guidelines, sanitation protocols, childhood trauma and much more, to 381 child care providers
- 1,441 hours of personalized, step-by-step coaching and support to 622 child care programs by 29 4C for Children coaches
We wish to especially thank PNC Bank, the Carol Ann & Ralph V. Haile, Jr./U.S. Bank Foundation and the Greater Cincinnati Foundation & United Way of Greater Cincinnati’s COVID-19 Regional Response Fund for their leading investments that made this effort possible.
Child care providers continue to respond to the evolving needs of local families and we’re thankful that our community recognizes this essential role of child care. Together, we can ensure that providers are equipped to handle the challenges of today and those that lie ahead.
