CDA Renewal Amnesty in 2020: Start Preparing Now!

            August 15, 2019

Is your Child Development Associate (CDA) credential expired? From Jan. 1 through March 31, 2020, the Council for Professional Recognition will offer a limited-time CDA Renewal Amnesty Program. This program will give anyone with a CDA credential expiration date as far back as Jan. 1, 2010, an opportunity to complete the renewal process and make their credential active again.

All applications and payments ($125) must be submitted online by March 31, 2020. Per the Council, no exceptions or extensions will be granted.

            The following eligibility rules apply:
            • Have an expiration date as far back as Jan. 1, 2010
            • Meet all current renewal requirements
You can apply online using YourCouncil (click here to learn how to access your account)

The Council encourages that you allow yourself enough time to obtain the requirements needed to take advantage of this limited-time opportunity. Visit the Council’s CDA Renewal Amnesty Program web page to download helpful resources and keep up-to-date on resources that are available.

Have questions? Need help understanding the requirements or obtaining training? 4C CDA specialists can help you get ready to take advantage of this offer. Reach out to our specialists at cda@4cforchildren.org today!
