Many schools are starting the school year remotely or using a hybrid model that is creating a need for child care during the days children are not physically in a school building.
The Ohio Department of Job & Family Services (ODJFS) announced last week new options for families who need care for their school-age children during the school day. These new regulations give families, including those using publicly funded child care, safe child care options for school-aged children during the school day at licensed:
- child care programs that accept school-age children, or
- temporary pandemic school-age programs.
