          August 30, 2021

4C for Children is announcing the addition of four new members to its Board of Trustees. Each of these new members will serve three-year terms and collectively they bring a wealth of experience to the board and will provide leadership in helping further 4C for Children’s work in the community.

          New Trustees

          • Katie Bezold is vice president of product management at Western & Southern Financial Group. Bezold lives in Delhi.
          • Bobby Cave is a senior manager with Deloitte & Touche, LLP. Cave resides in Hyde Park.
          • Monica Walker is the HR/administration director at the Dayton Art Institute. Walker is a resident of Miamisburg.
          • Jessica Yankie is vice president, client & community relations director at The PNC Financial Services Group, Greater Cincinnati/NKY. Yankie lives in Madeira.

“The leadership of the 4C for Children Board of Trustees is as important as ever as we begin to implement our new three-year Strategic Plan for our agency,” says Vanessa Freytag, president and CEO of 4C for Children.

“I look forward to the perspectives that each of our new board of trustees members brings as we work together to ensure our youngest and most vulnerable children throughout Greater Dayton and Cincinnati have access to high-quality child care.”

          Members Transitioning

Four longtime board members also transitioned off the board:

          • Mindy McLaughlin
          • Jennifer Damiano
          • Tony Roberts
          • Digi Schueler

“These members have my sincere thanks and appreciation,” Freytag says. “Their commitment began before the pandemic and we are grateful to have benefited from their steadfast service as we navigated the uncertainty of 2020 and planned ahead for the future.”

All positions in the board became effective July 20, 2021.
