We have good news to share! Starting March 4, 2021, Child Care Professionals in Ohio will be able to make appointments to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. Read the announcement from the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services below for information on the steps to sign up for a vaccination and prove your eligibility.
From ODJFS: On March 1, 2021 Governor Mike DeWine announced the next phase of the vaccine rollout. We are excited to share that starting March 4, 2021 Child Care Professionals are now eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. The vaccinations are limited to child care administrators, lead teachers and assistant teachers. In order to be vaccinated professionals must do the following:
- Register at Coronavirus Vaccine | Ohio Department of Health
- Print a certificate of eligibility from the Ohio Professional Registry Page – OCCRRA (Download this PDF for instructions)
- Present the certificate of eligibility to the vaccine location at time of vaccination
Professionals and programs should make sure that all profiles in the Ohio Professional Registry (OPR) are up to date. If you have any questions regarding who is eligible please contact the Child Care Help Desk at 1-877-302-2347, option 4.
