STEAM Preschool: Creating STEAM Outdoor Experiences, An Integrated Approach

This training consists of two Preschool STEAM trainings: the prerequisite training, STEAM: An Integrated Approach to Learning and Creating STEAM-Related Outdoor Preschool Experiences. In the first session, participants will explore an introduction to the STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) approach and will learn the history and benefits of using STEAM-based experiences. In the second session, participants will explore the components of the STEAM concept as they relate to outdoor play. Through activities and discussion, participants will learn more about the benefits of outdoor play, and strategies for using community resources to extend the STEAM learning experience. Participants will utilize hands-on experiences and discussions in this training.
