Keepin’ It Real In Early Childhood: Say What? The Art of Talking and Listening with Young Children

Children learn to talk by talking. This sounds so simple, and yet how often do we, teachers, encourage truly rich conversations with our children? How do we do it in a productive and meaningful way that promotes language development and allows the children to do the talking and ultimately the learning? How do we know what to say and how to say it, or do we say anything at all? In this training, we will explore the answers to these questions and provide strategies to help create additional daily opportunities for children to converse and develop language skills.
