Description:
Teachers, caregivers, and administrators are functioning in classrooms and care environments that are more reflective of the rich diversity of our culture than ever before. This richness is rewarding and exhilarating, but also brings with it challenges and considerations to ensure that we are being respectful and inviting of such diversity. This workshop will explore those rewards and challenges by defining, engaging with, and building on Culturally Responsive Practice, grounded in a model of Cultural Proficiency, and blending practice and theory to maximize the potential for creating rich relationships and growth across and through cultural frameworks.
