This training is a blended learning which includes online learning and in-person skills test once the online learning is complete. ASHI Pediatric CPR, AED, and First Aid training program provides an ideal training solution for schools, child care providers, youth sports coaches, and others required to learn skills that will help in how to respond to medical emergencies involving children and infants. Participants will learn how to identify an emergency, define the difference between responsive and unresponsive persons and respond to them with skills to save their life. Partcipants will demonsrate their skills based on the prescribed guidelines and skills check. This versatile program is based upon the 2015 CPR and First Aid Guidelines, Caring for Our Children, 3rd Ed; and other evidence-based treatment recommendations. Successful completion is based on achievement of the core learning objectives rather than a prescribed instruction time. Each participant will receive a 2-year certification card and Digital Participant Manual. Participants will participate in the online training course which will take about 4 hours and then meet for the in-person skills session as scheduled at time of registration or upon completion of the online course.
