Description:
For assessment information to be useful for programming purposes, the process should be grounded in best practices. This session will explore the differences of screening and assessment, outline the strategies for conducting assessments, and review the guidelines for sharing results with a view to ethical practice. Particpants will have a chance to explore many of the popular assessment tools on the market. Linkage to state standards and curriculum will be discussed. This session is part of the Curriculum and Assessment Series. It is recommended that participants take Before Assessment: Observation first.
