‘Rachael Ray’ show brings dinner to Wilmington families—with help from 4C

Because more than 8,000 employees were laid off after DHL announced the closing of its hub in Wilmington, Ohio, the “Rachael Ray” show decided to bring the show to town and serve a Thanksgiving dinner to local families.

The show contacted 4C for help finding families who had been impacted by the closing. 4C Clinton/Warren county specialist Cathie Streator, a Wilmington resident, helped round up families and volunteers for the event. The show included a traditional Thanksgiving meal for more than 2,000 and a performance by a local high school chorus directed by Nick Lachey. The show aired on Nov. 25, the Wednesday before Thanksgiving.
