4C will host its seventh annual leadership conference for directors, administrators, emerging leaders and owners of early care and education programs at the Savannah Center in West Chester, Ohio. Sue Baldwin will present the keynote address, “Love What You Do!,” about understanding the relationship between happiness in the workplace and well-being and how to make choices and positive changes to create passion out of the daily grind.
“Participants should come prepared to laugh, learn and love what they do,” says Stephannie Kennedy, 4C professional development coordinator.
Sue Baldwin, the owner of INSIGHTS Training and Consulting in Stillwater, Minn., since 1994, has a B.A. in counseling and has been working in the field of nonprofit administration since 1967. She has been training both nationally and internationally since 1982 on topics related to personal and professional development and has co-authored four books and two training videos for early childhood administrators.
Sue is the parent of two adult children and three grandchildren. A breast cancer survivor since 1997, she is an active Hospice volunteer, a certified birth coach and continues to teach swimming for infants, toddlers and preschoolers.
"4C recognizes the tough times early education programs are facing this year," Stephannie adds, "and we carefully selected new topics to offer support to program leaders. The conference also offers an important networking opportunity for directors to find support from the early childhood community."
Session topics include:
- From Tired to Inspired
- Sustaining Stable Programs in Changing Times
- The Impact of Poverty on the Child Care System
- Manage Your Energy, Not Your Time
- The Power of Trust
- Building Better Generational Relationships
