NAEYC Accreditation

The National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) offers program quality improvement through the NAEYC Academy for Early Childhood Program Accreditation. This accreditation process is a national, voluntary accreditation system which helps raise the quality of care for children birth through Kindergarten.

Since 1985, NAEYC Accreditation has provided a way for those concerned about the quality of early childhood education to evaluate their program and commit to ongoing quality improvements. In 2002, the NAEYC Governing Board established a project to reinvent accreditation and improve the reliability and accountability of the system. The new NAEYC Accreditation system has been fully operational since September 2006. Click on NAEYC Accreditation for more information.
