New trustees, officers elected at 4C annual meetingPamela L. Page to serve as new president

At the April 26 Annual Meeting, seven new trustees were elected for three-year terms on the 4C for Children Board of Trustees, along with new board officers. The new trustees: Claudia Abercrumbie is founder and president of The Abercrumbie Group, a fund development and event planning business. Formerly, she worked in development for the University of Cincinnati Foundation and in ethnic marketing for Procter and Gamble. She currently serves on the Cincinnati Museum Center President’s African American Advisory Council. James (Jim) Creeden, Jr., a certified public accountant, is the audit senior manager for BKD,LLP. His 12 years of experience providing assurance services to primarily not-for-profit organizations includes serving as the engagement partner/manager for 4C for Children’s 2006 and 2007 audit. He also serves as a member of the finance committee for Moeller High School. Tammy Solomon Gray, a Cincinnati Public Schools assistant principal since 2009, serves at Pleasant Hill Academy, a PreK–8 program in College Hill. She previously taught reading and language arts at the elementary level for eight years. She serves on the YWCA Rising Stars Board Leadership Engagement Committee. Cynthia Henderson, a community volunteer, previously served for 14 years as the managing principal of the Fund Evaluation Group. She is a current member of the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber and a previous board member of the Junior League. Marc Kiner is a certified public accountant with Kiner & Associates CPAs, Inc. He serves on the board of Crayons to Computers where he is treasurer and chair of the finance and audit committee. Also a supporter of the Eastside Players—he has served as sponsor, hand-on volunteer, sometimes actor and member of the audience. Therese Nardini Plaspohl is vice president, client and community relations director for PNC Bank, Dayton Region. Previously a national marketing manager for PNC Mortgage, she says her new position, which involves collaboration with PNC’s Grow Up Great is “a dream come true” that gives her an opportunity to make a difference for her grandchildren—and everybody’s grandchildren. Patricia (Patti) Towbin, a learning specialist/educational diagnostician, has worked with children of varying ages—from preschool through high school. She recently joined Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center as a school intervention coordinator in the Division of Hematology/Oncology. And she is a member of 4C’s 2010 Champions for Children Celebration Committee. New officers: President: Pamela L. Page, vice president, world wide quality assurance, the Procter & Gamble Company.
